If you’re wanting to feel like you should give up on graphic design because you suck, then you should definitely not visit this site. Because you’ll think “Wow, I’ll never be that good.” - and you’re probably right with that attitude.

If you think you’re good enough, your head’s getting too big. You really need to look at this site.

Here’s the site: Graphic Exchange I recommend looking at this every week or so. I was looking at it every day but i get more out of seeing multiple posts than i did a post every day.

Then again don’t forget that wolff Olins got £1.2 million for creating this little gem of a logo.

So the moral is, no matter how bad you suck, you might still get paid depending on who you know. So don’t give up, you might suck but that doesn’t always matter.

Updated the names in the right locations.

the vertical church had an Easter event where they dropped a Ton of eggs out of a helicopter and gave away a bunch of prizes. so anyway, i designed all of the stuff for the event.

The first attempt Which i personally thing is hilarious. But they said there was confusion on whether the eggs were real that they were dropping, or what, so this would have only furthered that problem.

the final postcard that was sent out.

first proof for the billboard

final proof for the billboard (Holy crap, that’s a lot of info on a billboard)

some ‘cards’ that the volunteers wore around their necks.

also I did their website http://www.eggsoveryuma.com

ps. no those are not “bras” on the card, they plastic eggs with their “mouths” popped open.

they said they wanted to go with a “space theme” so that’s what the top left attempt was.

then they said they wanted more color (silly me, I was thinking space was black) - but then i remembered nebulas. Whew…

then they requested a “rocket ship” and for the words to be more in motion - hence bottom right proof

they didn’t like that rocket however, or the zooming words (which i actually thought came out really well) so the final bottom left is what they ended up with.

These banners were used to promote the name change of the church and tell people where and when to go.

So after a long time of building up the YCC brand, they decided to change their name to distinguish themselves from the other “Community churches” in the area.

These are some of the first logos that I can up with for their new name (my favorite is the bottom right, as you can see by my spending more time with it.

They decided they didn’t like any of those however, so they send me back this logo (above left) and asked if we could do something more like that. So the above right is what the final new logo is now.

Real Life Church Branding

Logo design for a new church, the upper logos were the original design, which was rejected, even though I still quite like them, I think the lower left (final) is a great solution, the lower right, was a variation which I was trying to go for more of a “person reading the Bible” instead of just the stylized heart.
