this was done the day after I had our first baby (Zoey Quincy Jackson)
As you can see I changed up the back of this mailer because after the last one (the real f-word) I realized that the back was getting redundant, so here’s the new/improved back.
My second project with Yuma Community Church, I got a good feeling of what type of people they were and what they were looking for after working on the first project with them, so I took more liberties to just go crazy with this design.
I am still really pleased with the results of this project. Also Jason (the lead pastor of YCC) said there was good response from the flyer.

This was the first of many “large format” postcard (8.5 x 11) he requested that this one look like a “magazine cover” to catch people’s attention - I must admit i thought that idea was pretty stupid, because if i got one, I’d want to see what was inside the magazine too… Oh well.
a card to be given out to Church visitors so they would know where YCC stood on certain things, and what they were all about.
to the right is my personal favorite card, (The card was originally entitled “Love Revolution”) they didn’t like it… something about it being “too communist” 
So I don’t know what came over me, i sold out and opted for the “easy way” out on this design.
although after this project, I decided to not do that again, it felt too much like stealing.
But I wanted to add this so you’d know I wasn’t perfect.
on the 6th of April, 2006 I designed this newspaper ad, going back to YCC roots (using the same image from the grinch postcard)
Jason had mentioned that he really liked the feel of the grinch postcard back and that it really conveyed what they were wanting to say, so that’s why i did this.
The billboard (top) i designed on the 26th of April, 2006 I think it had too much information but I think it worked. I never was 100% pleased with that billboard.
Jason wanted a small handout card that Church members could carry around to invite people to church.

This series by YCC was based on the Jon bon Jovi son “Livin on a prayer” so I didn’t have a particular image in mind for this design, so I decided to go with a western theme. The image reminded me of praying hands for some reason, also of Jesus’s hands before they were nailed… anyway I think it came out pretty nicely.
So Jason (of YCC) contacted me with the first of several projects “Based on TV programs” So the first inclination is to design the flyer to match whatever the tv show did. (There was no exception here) Jason sent me the file you see on the bottom right and asked me to design a flyer like that.
Well i just didn’t want to copy somebody else’s work so i made my own, (thankfully he liked it)
