So after a long time of building up the YCC brand, they decided to change their name to distinguish themselves from the other “Community churches” in the area.

These are some of the first logos that I can up with for their new name (my favorite is the bottom right, as you can see by my spending more time with it.

They decided they didn’t like any of those however, so they send me back this logo (above left) and asked if we could do something more like that. So the above right is what the final new logo is now.

the banners above (with the exception of the top right were created for the kids ministry) unfortunately none of them every got used. :( because they changed their name to the vertical church (which brings me to my next set of projects.

The top right is the “logo” that ycc had been using for their kids ministry up till this point.

below is the updated kids logo.

(right side - grey was the final design that was chosen)

I quite like the top center one, but it was a no-go.

these were some other images that I would have loved to use for this project:

4 churches in the Yuma arizona area were having a thing… I don’t know what it was (if you do, email me and i’ll update this)  it had something to do with getting people to come to church for Easter. anyway, they went together and did this postcard, I made the logo and the flyer for it. (top right was the final flyer)

another postcard for a series that they (YCC) was doing.

I’ve always been quite happy with how this one came out.

As I look at this, I wonder to myself. “Did you really do that?” And then I come up with “Yes, I did”
Why did I do that? I wonder…

They said they wanted something more Bright. so maybe as a joke… I don’t know. I showed them this, and they used it if I remember correctly.

UPDATE. They didn’t use this. Ha ha. got you.

here’s some other options, they ended up going with one of these.

if I remember right, it was the green one.

designed a website (no longer available) for a ministry that YCC was doing.

top left , top center are the final front / back of the postcard

top right is the billboard that they used for this campaign,

Bottom left was the first idea i had, since it was originally modeled after “Talladega Nights”

the others are just some rejects along the way.

This card was to give new (to the church) parents some information about the kids ministry.

The logo was already made and supplied to me.

Eventually the “What are we all about” handout card just wasn’t cutting it, so they had me create a tri-fold brochure to give some more information about the Church to visitors.

the top is the final brochure the bottom right was the first version, which I quite like the feel of too.
